Good; Next time try original!

you all seem to have great animation stylings, but I would personally prefer that you try original work rather than fanworks. However, you had a great soundtrack, and even synced your actions with it every once in a while, so that was good. Also, you showed a good knowledge of your material, how the characters moved and such, so that was nice. In short, please release your own original work, and keep it up!

Nice blending of styles

I definitely enjoyed this flash's melancholy styling: the constant rain, the rusty, squeaky light-rail train, the liberal use of cats, hobos, and the kid with the headphones from which unintelligible voices screamed tinnily. Very atmospheric, and also a nice blending of anime and traditional styles. Also, the judicious use of violence accentuated the plot without overwhelming it. Overall, a very pleasing, piquant concoction; I'm happy to see that you plan on releasing another. Good Luck!

Keepin' the series rollin' strong!

I loved the original episode, and this installment has not dissappointed me. You seem to have weathered the change in animators well, and I actually prefer the new intro. Your sound recording quality sometimes leaves a little to be desired, but you generally rolled with it, and turned it into part of the humor, especially with the hobo's cries of "BOOZE!" Also, Trever's reflexive dismemberment of the car was hilarious; his sword is his answer to everything, isn't it? And I definitely am a huge fan of the direction the plot is going. Keep up the good work!

Good for a frame animation!

I liked this flash very much, especially for a frame-by-frame. You took the style of a flash-anime, with out copying the prevalent big-eyes wooshwoosh style, or at least not in a bad way. The use of the katana was a little trite (golly gee, it was either that or a M-16 in that case, I was just dying of suspense wondering which!), but you did animate the whole thing well, and you bucked the trend at the "this bitch wants to get raped!" point (I was assuming it would turn into a porno). All in all, good job, and I hope you keep up the plot! Good luck!

Zombie-Pimp responds:

hmm, sorry, there won't be any porno in this flash series. But if you want to see some sexy footage, check out our other flash entry "The Sinister Truth".

Dunno about DCK, but it sure is funny

This flash is hilarious, but one of the major things that I didn't like about it is the fact that I'm pretty sure that those Japanese bits didn't actually translate the way you translated them. The tone was right, which was all I need since I don't speak Japanese, but here on NG you'd be likely to run into at least a few reviewers who do speak Japanese, and whether they'd like that or not is up for debate. Other than that, good work.

FleckoGold responds:

As I said in my comments...they don't. And so far its made it even funnier for people that speak Japanese. So don't worry about it and enjoy, its just a flash dude.

Not horrible

I thought this was an ok flash; the style reflected the sort of "grungy" feel of skating. However, the tendency of images in the background to jump around wildly was annoying. Small jumps would have been cool and part of the style, but big ones just make your eyes hurt. On the other hand, kudos for using frame-by-frame animation, and not adding to the festering pile of "this is my first flash so be nice" shit, where they just take some simple objects and float them around with tweening. Over all, there is definitely room for improvement, but good job anyway. Keep it up!

Basking-Shark responds:

thanks you should try animating though before u make comments on newbs

Nice, and a good use of a flash anime styling!

My title sorta says it all, but there was one thing that I didn't understand: what did the fox do to the evil santabot when he opened his mouth? bite him or something? seems kinda weak...but that's okay.

PS I think you were given an homage in Ultimate Showdown..."When Abraham Lincoln popped out of his grave/took an AK-47 out from under his hat/and blew Batman away with a ratatatat/ but he ran out of bullets and he ran away/cause Optimus Prime came to save the day!..."

Liked it very much, but I'm not normal.

I've always been a big fan of both electronica and Kafka, to which the cockroach theme was an obvious homage. I liked the non-verbal, mime-like style of the animation, and also the subtle, unhappy ending, with the people exchanging one tyranical master for the other: cockroach for bird. One wonders if they are really any better off? This diserves its place on the frontpage! Incidentally, if you could point me toward somewhere where I can get ahold of some of CYCLOTIMIA's work can be downloaded (a la Ultimate Showdown), I would definitely appreciate it, if it's okay with the band. Keep up the good work!

Good, great, wonderful, etc.

I love JOANIME flash! This is awesome, as per usual. My one issue is that I think you stole my mother to be the sexually-repressed suburban mom. Give her back!

Just kidding, obviously.

Anyone who has issues with 'animated boobs' is going to have issues with most of your flash, so don't worry.

Interface could use slight work

I love this game! I was also a big fan of your other two works, but this and "KO Fighter" were plagued by interface problems. It doesn't take much away from the game, and in more *erm* dire straights I might have played around with it long enough to figure it out precisely, but I'm not. The main problem I had was that it seemed that sometimes the 'saber wouldn't stop the object even if it was bisecting it, which was annoying, since it makes the game quite frustrating. However, on the plus side, it is quite well scripted, and your voice artist sounds lovely, not only in terms of tone, pitch, and so on, but also in terms of recording quality. I'd love to see more of these characters! Keep it up.
